Classic Georgian vertical tiling in Guildford
In this case we supplied Classic Georgian tiles to be used on a private house in Guildford, Surrey. The house was being remodelled with the addition of a new extension.
In a leafy street hidden away in Guildford stood a large detached family home, crying out for some TLC. The clients along with their architect came up with plans to bring this dated house back to life by extending and giving it an overall facelift. Large modern glazing taking advantage of the fantastic views across the downs along with the preferred choice of a modern white render to compliment the traditional choice of clay tiles on the main roof and tile hanging.
After an initial site meeting with the clients, the decision was to use our Heritage handmade Classic Georgian, approved by the local planning authority, creating the perfect contrast between main roof, vertical tiling and that of the neutral render palette.
What once was an unloved and dated house, crying out for a family to invest their love and energy, is now an outstanding modern, stylish home which will stand the test of time for many many years to come.
